Groveport Madison School District is making a difference with technology in their students’ education and learning. Located near Columbus, Ohio, the district’s deployment of Chromebooks to their students and teachers has transformed the classroom environment and greatly impacted student achievement.
Putting technology into the hands of students has increased student involvement, and the level and quality of their projects has skyrocketed. There’s increased interaction between students and teachers, and the students’ engagement with the technology has inspired teachers to use it in new ways. As Monique Hamilton, director of school improvement, explains, “You can see the excitement, you can see the smiles, you can see the ‘ah-ha’ moments.”
