A taxi company hoping to improve its customer travel experience has implemented an innovative new tablet-based solution to keep passengers informed and entertained. The Cabture solution provides fare tracking, GPS mapping of routes to their destinations, and payment services, as well as geo-aware advertising and translation services. The tablet is connected to the taxi fare meter and can show customers the route they’re on, as well as provide recommendations on nearby businesses and services.
Cabture, a company based in Amsterdam, used Samsung’s KNOX Customization solution to create a custom interface for Samsung Galaxy tablets. The custom configuration ensures trouble-free access to the Cabture solution while preventing passengers from launching other apps. Customers can determine the shortest route to their destination, receive price estimates, and access information on their driver’s record, as well as provide feedback at the end of the trip via a survey. The system can enhance the travel experience for the customer, and improve the taxi company’s tracking and feedback as well.
