Streamlining data collection and administrative work is a top priority for many public safety agencies, but finding the right solution can be challenging.

At the International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference in Philadelphia, SceneDoc CEO Alex Kottoor chatted about how his company is partnering with Samsung to find solutions.

“Our mission is to provide law enforcement officials with a mobile-first experience,” Kottoor said.

SceneDoc aims to provide officers with an easy, intuitive experience to better help them collect information, and ultimately reduce paperwork and get them back into the field. Metro Vancouver Transit Police has leveraged the SceneDoc Collect solution on Samsung Galaxy smartphones as a digital notebook.

Another SceneDoc solution, eCitations, is providing an efficient and secure way to issue citations on the smartphone. “We’re really untethering the officer from the car,” explains Kottoor.
