We’ve lived and worked with 4G LTE since around the turn of the decade. It enables much of the mobile experience we take for granted today: streaming video, snappy web browsing, quick downloads of large apps and email attachments. It’s hard to remember the days of 3G connectivity, when these things were either impossible or extremely painful on your mobile.
So what are the implications of the impending introduction of 5G and Massive MIMO, which has recorded peak test speeds of 330Mbps per channel, for the business user?
To answer the question, we spoke with Derek Johnston, head of marketing at Samsung Networks.
“5G stands to enable a truly mobile society,” Johnston told us. “Enabling folks to decouple themselves from a physical location … could change the way we work and the way we live.”
