Meeting room madness is a problem that we’ve all experienced — there are few things more frustrating than a meeting starting late because a conference line isn’t working or someone can’t connect their computer to a display.

The cost of this issue goes beyond the money organizations are investing in space and technology. The time employees lose coordinating conference schedules and configuring new gadgets can be immense. Fortunately, Samsung is rolling out new tools to aid workplace collaboration — from smart whiteboards to integrated video conferencing solutions with HARMAN.

Flipping the Page on Productivity

Samsung Flip is a new smart whiteboard solution for workplace collaboration.

“We did a lot of listening when designing the Flip solution,” said Kevin Schroll, director of digital signage at Samsung Electronics America, during an interview at CES this month. “Through our market research, we found that one thing [consistently] rings true: small, in-person meetings are more valuable for collaboration.”

Flip was designed to be highly portable, intuitive and interactive. The smart whiteboard solution rests on a wheeled stand, so workers can take it anywhere in the office. Connecting to Flip is easy, even from your smartphone. Writing and drawing on it is just like pen and paper. And when you’re done, you can quickly and easily share your work with colleagues.

Huddle Up

In addition, Samsung is combining its display technology with HARMAN’s audio and video conferencing equipment to provide a set of turnkey conferencing and collaboration solutions. These huddle space solutions come in tiered configurations to suit both small and large conference rooms.

With Flip addressing flexible, informal collaboration and the huddle space solutions addressing larger meeting rooms, Samsung is working to meet a broad set of needs to elevate workplace efficiency.
