The Challenge

Meeting the evolving demands of today's workplace

Founded in 1981, Logitech is a Swiss multinational computer peripherals and software manufacturer. The organization is dedicated to creating solutions that work for all people and spaces, but meeting the evolving demands of the modern workplace poses a challenge because the work environment is more diverse than ever.

Employees need technology that supports them whether they work from home, at the office, or both. Integrated, flexible hybrid work solutions have become a necessity rather than a luxury. Reflecting this shift, 78% of CIOs are increasing their budget for in-office spending to support those changing needs, according to a Morgan Stanley REIT CIO survey.

“Just a few years ago, technologies for collaboration and flexible work were considered nice to have,” shared Sudeep Trivedi, head of alliances and go-to-market at Logitech. “Now, they’re mission-critical tools for organizations.”

For instance, while many organizations once considered videoconferencing technology optional, it has since become critical for business. Despite this, 90% of meeting rooms globally are not video-enabled, the survey noted. But putting the technology in place is not the only challenge — maintaining it is also a struggle. With the rise of distributed work environments, IT teams must ensure consistent and uninterrupted service, which can be challenging with disparate work locations and IT solutions.

Office spaces are also evolving, with 60% of CIOs planning to increase hot desking deployment, according to the survey. The concept of a “living office,” which transforms traditional office spaces into dynamic environments that adapt to the diverse needs of modern workers, is also rising in popularity. However, many organizations struggle to support these changes because they lack standardized, global solutions that cater to diverse work environments.

Recognizing these challenges, Logitech sought a technology partner that could innovate alongside them to stay ahead of marketplace demand and help shape the future of work.

“It’s always our goal to provide flexible, best-of-breed solutions that adapt to the needs of our customers,” said Trivedi.

Logitech needed a partner with a broad portfolio that could address its customers’ varying needs. The ideal partner would offer customers a consistent, reliable experience worldwide, helping Logitech realize its goal of providing workplace solutions for all people and spaces.

Logitech and Samsung partner for seamless hybrid work solutions

Logitech partnered with Samsung to create solutions that transform the modern workplace. The partnership began five years ago, with Logitech initially focusing on Samsung’s standalone large format displays. However, Logitech quickly found that its customers wanted solutions promoting engagement, such as interactive displays. With Samsung’s extensive portfolio of displays, devices, and technologies, Logitech found the perfect complement to its range of collaboration products.

“Samsung’s broad portfolio and focus on innovation made it easy to expand the partnership,” shared Trivedi.

The organizations’ shared passion for innovation has resulted in truly integrated solutions, elevating the customer experience by fostering interactive and immersive work experiences.

“Logitech and Samsung support a lot of verticals together whether it’s healthcare, federal government, education, transportation, gaming — really any business environment that requires in person, remote or a hybrid work environment,” said Sukhmani Mohta, vice president and chief marketing and partnerships officer at Samsung Electronics America’s Display Division.

Samsung’s state-of-the-art displays, known for their clarity and versatility, pair well with Logitech’s advanced, AI-powered videoconferencing tools that bring meetings to life. Samsung’s ultra-high-definition displays combined with Logitech’s USB-compatible conference cameras, webcams and audio systems deliver crystal-clear video and sound, helping remote participants feel as though they’re present in the room. These solutions help ensure that every participant feels equally engaged and connected regardless of location.

Logitech Rally Bar, for example, can connect to multiple Samsung displays and can help naturally increase the level of engagement in a meeting room. “One screen can show everyone who is remote, the other one could have content on it, [and] you could have a third screen, which is your interactive display, where people can whiteboard or create new ideas and collaborate directly on the screen,” explained Mohta. This can then be shared with everyone in the room.

Logitech also liked the reliability of Samsung solutions. Because the technology can be remotely monitored and managed via a content or device management system, organizations can maintain high-performance standards and quickly address any problems.

“What we’ve been able to do together is build a joint solution, which takes all components of delivering world-class video collaboration solutions into an easy way to deliver for our customers,” said Mohta.

Driving the future of work with continued innovation

From home offices to conference rooms, Samsung’s displays and Logitech’s peripherals are turning every space into a productive space.

“Samsung’s innovation supports the evolving workforce,” said Trivedi. “We collaborate to address challenges and anticipate the evolving needs of almost every industry.”

The solutions created from this partnership are purpose-built for each industry and seamlessly integrate into customers’ diverse environments, enabling employees to focus on their work rather than on the technology itself. The flexible technology allows employees to connect remotely or hot desk without hassle, which is a linchpin in creating a “living office” experience.

“Samsung and Logitech’s joint solutions are making meetings more impactful, more productive and more engaging,” said Mohta.

With hot desk solutions, employees can quickly plug into an available desk and immediately start working without technical hurdles. This streamlined experience reduces stress and fosters productivity. At the same time, the comprehensive solutions offered by Logitech and Samsung allow organizations to consolidate the number of vendors they rely on, simplifying procurement and management.

“Our solutions are designed to work together so they work better, which means employees’ engagement with technology is seamless, regardless of where they’re working,” Trivedi shared. “The technology disappears into the background, enabling employees to focus on their tasks.”

The leading innovation that resulted from the collaboration between Logitech and Samsung is perhaps most evident at Logitech’s experience center in their San Jose, California office, which allows visitors to validate the integrated technologies first-hand in realistic work environments. Organizations can see how solutions designed specifically for their industry can create a flexible and efficient workplace environment.

“Our visitors are always impressed at how these solutions foster an inclusive and collaborative workplace, provide powerful functionality, and save users’ valuable time,” Trivedi said.

While the partnership continues to yield industry-leading solutions, both Logitech and Samsung remain committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation. They actively collaborate with experts across verticals to ensure their solutions stay fresh. However, remaining ahead of the curve isn’t only an organization requirement; they also strive to develop sustainable solutions. Logitech and Samsung have both created products that automatically go in standby mode or turn off when not in use, which reduces energy consumption. The organizations hope to help others become more aware of and reduce their environmental impact. Logitech and Samsung anticipate that their synergy will lead to greater efficiencies in the future.

“Our partnership with Samsung has been nothing short of transformative,” reflected Trivedi. “We’re eager to continue driving innovation, anticipating and fulfilling the needs of our customers in the years ahead.”
