Trade show attendance often requires major time and travel commitments. Samsung is making it possible for customers and partners to immerse themselves in new products and still have time to get back to their offices that afternoon by taking its latest professional display products on the road to a selection of U.S. cities starting this spring.

The Samsung Resolution Tour 2019, which starts April 17 in Tampa, Florida, is a unique take on a professional A/V road show. The Resolution Tour will bring the latest and most compelling displays and collaboration tools to the masses, one city at a time.

Each stop along the way will provide a technology demonstration, time to spend with Samsung subject matter experts and a dedicated food truck during midday events.

There’ll be plenty of time for serious talk about displays, software and the strategy around deploying signage in your business environment.

The first half of the cities in this year’s Resolution Tour include:

  • Tampa, FL: April 17
  • Houston, TX: April 23
  • San Mateo, CA: May 1
  • Seattle, WA: May 7

Other locations will be added, including potential dedicated stops at partner locations. Can you imagine putting the Samsung trade show experience in front of all your employees and key customers?

What You’ll See

The custom Resolution Tour container will carry a broad array of the key products to be showcased this year at major trade shows like Integrated Systems Europe, Digital Signage Expo and the upcoming InfoComm 2019 show in Orlando, Florida.

Direct-view LED is a big focus here at Samsung. We have worked with partners across a diverse range of verticals to integrate narrow-pitch LED video wall displays into our business environments.

We’re seeing casino sportsbooks fill entire walls, even curved ones, with one big screen. Commercial property operators are attracting new tenants and maintaining existing ones by converting lobby walls into experiential media features. Sports and entertainment venues like the American Airlines arena are switching out large-format branding and advertising posters for LED walls, according to DigiDaybook, giving them the flexibility to change sponsors and messaging quickly and easily. Retail has also adopted LED walls as signature branding and mood-setting features in flagship stores.

The Resolution Tour will showcase Samsung’s full HD 1.2-mm. pixel-pitch LED display, which is perfectly suited for sports, entertainment, retail or advertising, but also produces an image crisp enough to replace projectors or display cubes in spaces like control rooms and large workplace conference rooms and presentation theaters.

The objectives of narrow-pitch LED are seamless visuals, flexible dimensions and brightness levels that win any battle with glare.

The Resolution Tour will also feature Samsung’s extremely narrow-bezel 55-in. video wall displays, which have barely present seams between each LCD in a video wall array. The big selling point for LCD is full HD on single displays, and the ability to create a 4K wall with just four screens, set two high by two wide.

There will also be representative examples of Samsung’s professional-grade digital signage displays, giving viewers an idea of what ultra-HD, HDR10 and embedded smart signage technology can deliver.

The 850 Series business-class professional monitor will also be on hand, making a compelling case for using an extra-wide, pixel-dense WQHD resolution in workplaces.

Customers and partners will be able to try out the very popular Samsung Flip — a modern, digital take on the paper flipcharts that still sit in the corners of many meeting rooms, classrooms and lecture halls. Introduced in 2018, the Flip takes the best of digital whiteboards and interactive displays, and packages them up into something that can be used without training. The Flip is sufficiently portable to roll around to where it needs to be, and very affordable.

The best way to make the case for effective outdoor-rated digital signage is to put them out in the sun. Resolution Tour stops will feature the modular, fully outdoor-rated OH55F display designed for drive-through lanes at quick-service restaurants, as well as other use cases like suburban banking centers. The semi-outdoor OM55F-D — intended for use in outward-facing shop windows — will also be shown.

Some tour stops will include audio and workplace collaboration products from Harman, a Samsung company.
