Smartphones have been revolutionizing the way we work for a number of years now, allowing users to stay in touch with colleagues no matter where in the world they are. But what about turning your smartphone from a content consumption device into a content creation machine? That is what the Galaxy Note8 promises, opening up a world of possibilities that puts the power of a PC in the palm of your hand.

The Note8 still offers all the benefits of a traditional smartphone by letting you access work emails and files while on the move, but now, thanks to unique features like the S Pen, the powerful dual lens camera and its huge Infinity Display, creatives can find more ways to generate crisp, clean and interesting content.

Here are three key features of the new Note8 that give the content creator the tools they need, when they need them:

1. S Pen

Samsung pioneered the use of a stylus with a smartphone with the inception of the Note series in 2011. With the latest iteration of the smartphone line, the S Pen has reached new levels of sophistication and usability.

The new S Pen can now measure 4,096 levels of pressure, up from 2,048 in the Note5, giving you much more control over the most delicate tasks you want to carry out on your phone. The diameter of the S Pen tip has also been reduced from 1.6 mm to just 0.7 mm, giving creators incredible control over the most intricate details for applications like Adobe Illustrator Draw, Photoshop Express and more.

The stylus, which is housed inside the Note8, is also IP68-certified like the rest of the phone for water and dust resistance, meaning it can be used in a variety of conditions and locations without worrying about damaging it.

With the Note8’s Always On Display combined with the Screen Off Memo feature, you can treat your smartphone like a notebook, taking notes or drawing instantly without ever having to worry about running out of space. The higher sensitivity and smaller pen tip diameter also mean your handwriting and drawings will be more realistic than ever before.

With Bixby Voice, you are able to change S Pen settings — such as the color of the ink you are using or the type of writing utensil — by simply using your voice. This can help you save time and make it easier to complete creative tasks that require multiple repetitive commands, like photo editing or drawing.

2. Camera Features

Samsung has incorporated dual 12-megapixel rear-facing cameras into the Note8, to give users a huge range of options when capturing still images or video.

The dual lens camera setup allows the Note8 to offer 2x optical zoom, which enables closer, sharper photos with dramatically higher quality than digital zoom. Among the camera features the Note8 offers is Live Focus, a feature that lets users create professional-quality photos typically only available previously on DSLR cameras, and which allow you to blur the background to create a Bokeh effect.

For those who want to capture photos or video whilst moving or in low light, the Note8 includes optical image stabilization on both lenses, meaning you can grab sharper, more detailed images effortlessly.

The rear cameras also feature larger apertures – F1.7 for the wide-angle and F2.4 for the telephoto – further improving the sharpness of photos taken in low light.

Combining the incredible images and video captured by the dual lens camera, the sensitivity and accuracy of the S Pen and the powerful processor inside the Note8, users will be able to capture, shoot and edit images and footage all on their smartphone, before sharing it with the world. This gives the content creator much more freedom to do what they want when they want, and capture the moment.

3. Infinity Display

The 6.3-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display on the Note8 gives you more than enough room to create as well as consume content. The 2960 x 1440 resolution screen means that even the smallest detail is crystal clear.

The phone’s design means that the screen has a 14 percent larger viewable area compared to the Note5, and the symmetric edge display with sharper curved edges makes it much easier to hold one-handed.

The large screen, particularly when used in landscape mode, gives those seeking to create content a much larger canvas from which to work. To make the most out of the screen space, Samsung has introduced Snap Window and App Pair to allow for multi-window usage. This means that you can quickly open paired apps with a single tap and by pinning one app, you can quickly switch between different resources to help you create content easily.

The S Pen, camera features and large Infinity Display on the Note8 make it the perfect device for the content creator, offering a truly flexible solution for those who want to create wherever and whenever inspiration strikes them.
