Business reimagined: Samsung’s Virtual Experience addresses today’s tech

After a year of drastic change and upheaval, businesses of all sizes are reimagining how their offices work, how they transact with customers and how they meet and engage with them.

Entire industries have undergone massive, long-term change, compelling company leaders to adapt quickly. Digital technology deployments that were intended to be implemented gradually, over three to five years, have been accelerated into mere months.

At the center of all this change is technology. How it’s being successfully applied to the evolving business landscape is the topic of a special one-day virtual conference, called Samsung V/X Live, on March 4, 2021.

V/X is short for Virtual Experience — a content-rich day of learning, discussion and exploration guided by key Samsung executives and industry thought leaders. The agenda has a series of special online presentation sessions sorted by vertical markets like sports, hospitality and retail.

V/X Live also includes:

  • A demo hub, with on-demand product and services videos
  • Partner hub
  • Networking
  • Online meetings
  • Interactive trivia with Samsung product prizes

The event is free to attend, and will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST.

Diverse agenda

V/X Live will kick off at 11 a.m. with a Morning Newscast session to set up the day and explore market and industry trends, as well as emerging topics like the changed workplace and the impact of ubiquitous 5G connectivity.

The day is then stacked with vertically focused sessions, called Feature Stories:

12:15 p.m. — Sports and Spectaculars: Live events and advertising have been hugely disrupted by the pandemic and its resulting safety restrictions. This session will explore key strategic planning, like reopening safely and recovering lost revenue. Speakers will include Samsung executives and service providers such as 4FRONT and Jamestown LP, the owners of One Times Square in New York.

1 p.m. — Retail and Food & Beverage (F&B): Samsung experts and leaders of top brands in retail and food services will discuss how technology is at the center of evolved customer experiences and service delivery in their stores and restaurants. Digitally driven services such as drive-thru and order-ahead for pickup, for instance, have become essential to business operations.

2 p.m. — Education: You’ll learn from leading education technology experts about how to create interactive lessons with digital displays and mobile technology — so instruction remains engaging whether students and teachers are in the classroom together or meeting remotely.

3 p.m. — Healthcare: At healthcare facilities of all types and sizes, effective, timely communications and visually accurate displays are vital across the continuum of care and the patient journey. In this session, experts from major hospitals and healthcare innovation firms will discuss how they’re solving some of the biggest challenges in the industry and pushing digital’s possibilities.

4 p.m. — Government: With the rapid, widespread shift to remote working arrangements, governments have also seen changes in their workflows, technology and infrastructure. In this session, industry analysts and experts will share their insights on the new administration’s top priorities and investments in technology, as well as how government security risks are addressed and mitigated. You’ll also hear how government agencies are adapting to a mobile workforce and enhanced cybersecurity.

5 p.m. — Hospitality: Learn how technology delivers a modern integrated guest experience, starting in the lobby, enhancing services and amenities on the property and continuing all the way to the in-room guest experience, via Samsung’s LYNK Cloud platform solution. The session includes top partners and customers working directly in hospitality.

6 p.m. — Enterprise Technology: Technology has long been powering business productivity, collaboration and innovation. Changing times have forced many corporate suites to reimagine how their workplaces should function, like if they even need large offices, considering their teams spent much of the past year working from home. How will emerging technology reshape the workplace to bring the comfort and flexibility of the home to the office? In this session, leading experts will discuss how enterprise technology is evolving, and what the modern workplace looks like.
